The National Center for Organizational Development and Sustainability
The National Center is a program of the United Advocates for Children and Families in California working collaboratively with other partners to assist nonprofit organizations (especially those serving the mental health field) across the nation in capacity development to meet their mission and vision and facilitate program sustainability potential. This is accomplished through technical assistance, training and resource dissemination.
The National Center:
- Collaborates with critical partners in the movement to maximize
- Proves technical assistance in areas related to organizational and program development and sustainability;
- Creates learning opportunities for staff, boards, leadership, and volunteers in organizational growth, development, and longevity;
- Develops and provides training in critical areas of organizational management;
- Creates and disseminates resources to build the capacity of organizations to meet their goals and sustainability;
- Builds the capacity of organizations to create and sustain partnerships that are critical to their mission;
- Assists organizational leaders in accessing necessary resources and training to enhance their capacity to serve as change agents and system transformation leaders;
- Creates pathways of peer to peer support, sharing, and learning;
- Assists organizations in recognizing, understanding, and responding to funder and on profit accountability requirements;
- Assists organizations in developing and fostering the leadership necessary to promote organizational capacity and program sustainability; and,
- Serves as a responsive source of information, resources, and training for organizations seeking assistance.
